About Brigadoon

Brigadoon Golf Course is a unique 9-hole course with a nice mix of par threes and fours, playing to 1500 yards of meticulously maintained fairways and greens. It was built in 2008 by Ross and Chris Rivers, who have over 4 decades of experience in the industry and are passionate about providing an affordable, challenging, and friendly experience for golfers of all ages and playing abilities. The friendly atmosphere, coupled with the natural beauty and wildlife corridors, makes every round memorable.

The course is open to the public 7 days a week and is located just 1 minute from HWY 19A nestled between Resort Row and Parksville's award-winning beachfront, making it a convenient and scenic destination for a game of golf anytime. Brigadoon is more than just a golf course; it's a family-owned and operated business that has been serving the Parksville community for over fifteen years.

The Designer - Ross Rivers

Ross Rivers inherited his golf expertise from his father, Mike Rivers, who served as the pro and superintendent of Nanaimo Golf and Country Club for 42 years. Ross began his career as a club pro in 1976, but soon developed a keen interest in course design and development. Forty years later, his company Ross Rivers Enterprises, has been a leader in the design, construction, and maintenance of golf courses and sports fields throughout Vancouver Island and the lower mainland.

Ross has designed and built several courses on Vancouver Island with the objective of bringing quality mid-length golf courses to the area, and Brigadoon follows the same footprint.
